Meyer Sound has announced promotions and restructured roles for top-level marketing personnel. John McMahon, who joined Meyer Sound in 2006 with the acquisition of LCS, has been promoted to senior VP of marketing. McMahon had been a principal with LCS since 1996. Steve Ellison has been named director, spatial sound. Ellison also came to Meyer Sound with the acquisition of LCS, a company he co-founded in 1992. Miles Rogers, who moved to Meyer Sound from Avid (Digidesign) in 2011, has been promoted to business development manager, cinema and content creation markets. Tim Boot, an audio industry veteran who joined Meyer Sound four years ago, has been tapped as director of digital product experience.

NAMM’s TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) committee announces that engineer/ producer Leslie Ann Jones will be inducted into the NAMM TEC Hall of Fame at the 34th Annual NAMM TEC Awards. Yamaha Professional Audio appointed Steve Mate to district manager for commercial audio and Nexo sales in the southwestern U.S. region. Before joining Yamaha, Mate held sales management and product development positions at Bogen/Apogee, TOA and Genesis Integration. Yamaha also named Dobbs Stanford as its representative for Yamaha commercial audio/commercial installation solutions and Nexo products in TX, LA, MS, OK, AR and western Tennessee. Commercial audio mixing systems such as the Rivage, CL and QL Series will continue to be represented solely by Yamaha’s district managers.
